&http://www.aliyun.com/zixun/aggregation/37954.html ">nbsp; There's something wrong with Windows XP! I have to try to fix it myself. Failed, try to call a friend. No one is willing to help or reload. It's too much trouble to reload, too long.
At this fork, there are two common ways:
① use Ghost to restore the system.
② Use the System Restore feature to restore to a failure.
Ghost, the mirror file may be months or even longer ago, and few people would think of doing a ghost mirror before a failure; System Restore "is good, but restore point is not always the time to establish the ideal." Therefore, many friends simply install the system immediately after the shutdown of the "System Restore", think that save the hard disk space. If we can create a restore point whenever we want, it's no longer a chicken to restore the system.
Who is the nearest restore point now
After the boot failure, then the most recent restore point is of course the last shutdown. Therefore, it is safest to automatically create a restore point each time you shut down. However, manual operation is too troublesome, there is no way to let the system in each shutdown automatically create a restore point? 2 steps will do.
Step 1th: Open Notepad and enter the following: Set irp=getobject ("Winmgmts:\\.\root\default:systemrestore") Myrp=irp.createrestorepoint ("Create restore Point", 0,100) When you are done, save the file as "Backup.vbs" in any directory, and note that the extension must be a VBS.
2nd step: Click "Start → run", and then open the Group Policy window after you enter "Gpedit.msc" in the "Run" dialog box, expand "Computer Configuration →windows settings → script (start/Shutdown)" On the left side of the window, and then double-click "Turn off" in the right space. Close the Properties dialog box (see figure), click Add On the dialog box to select the script file "Backup.vbs" that you just created, and then click OK.
Open the Close Properties dialog box
Now, if there is a problem with the system, there is no need to panic because there is always a restore point in the system that was last shutdown.
Create restore points anytime, anywhere
People's laziness will never change, because the steps to create a restore point are cumbersome, and many times we give up backup opportunities. Now just create the VBS file on the desktop to do a shortcut, after changing the system settings or software and hardware applications, you can double-click the shortcut to create a restore point, the following steps: Right-click the "backup.vbs" file you just created, on the pop-up menu, select " Send → desktop shortcuts, create a shortcut to the file on the desktop. You can also modify the icon, hotkey, etc. of this shortcut as needed.
Tips
Regular backup system is good, but also pay attention to the remaining space of the hard disk partition, if the System Restore takes up too much space, it should be timely through the System Restore management function to remove redundant expired restore points.
