NetEase Education Every October 20 is the world Cooks Day, cooks such as police, nurses, teachers have their own holiday.
In March 2004, Zhang Shiliao, president of the Chinese Culinary Association, attended the 31st session of the World Kitchen Assembly in Dublin, Ireland, and agreed with delegates from more than 70 countries to propose the October 20 of the year as World Cook Day.
At a time when the catering industry in the world was booming, the main purpose of the World Chef's Day was to raise public awareness of chef's profession in the world. At the same time, it is hoped that through the Governments and social organizations, the chefs will use the world's chef day to publicize and organize some non-profit cooking competitions and exhibitions to do some charitable activities, so as to improve people's understanding and status of chefs.
Because of the food industry and the continuous promotion of the chef status, more and more young people into the cooking industry, as every new Oriental students in Guangzhou in order to learn the most exquisite cooking skills, will seriously follow the teacher's teachings, and strive to learn to improve their cooking level.
"A large number of young people engaged in the chef industry, for the whole cooking session has a great advantage, Chinese food not only need traditional delicious dishes, but also need innovative thinking."
