Grid computing can organize a large number of decentralized computers into a "virtual http://www.aliyun.com/zixun/aggregation/13840.html" "supercomputer", one of the main technical means to deal with challenges such as large data and high-performance computing. This article mainly introduces the method of writing grid applications on the IBM Platform Symphony platform in the Java language.
Background information
Grid computing is a kind of distributed computing (distributed c++omputing). The first is the rapid development with the Internet, specifically for complex scientific computing model; In the data explosion, grid computing has become one of the main platforms to solve the problem of "big data" analysis with its high performance and high reliability. Grid computing is the use of the network to organize the spread of multiple computers into a "virtual supercomputer", where each computer involved in computing is a "node", and the entire calculation is made up of thousands of "nodes" composed of "a net lattice", so as to obtain a strong computational power.
IBM Platform Symphony is a service-oriented grid computing product. This product can solve the application demand of mass computing and mass data. Users can use the programming interfaces provided by Symphony, including MPI, Map Reduce, and IBM Platform Symphony native interfaces, to develop applications that can efficiently handle a wide range of businesses using a clustered system of thousands of computers. The software was first released in 2001 and now has many well-known commercial customers, including Citibank, Morgan Stanley, HSBC and so on.
IBM Platform Symphonyde is a developer version of IBM Platform Symphony for users to develop grid programs. At present, IBM Platformsymphonyde support Java, C + +, Com,python and many other mainstream development languages. This article mainly introduces its Java interface and programming method.
