Xinhua Dar es Salaam May 7 (reporter Lingxin Sheimeiwa indifferent) attended the 20th session of the World Economic Forum, the World Trade Organization Director-General Lamy 7th in an interview with Xinhua news agency said that China's accession to the WTO not only benefits China itself, but also beneficial to other countries of the world. Lamy believes that China's economic openness has benefited the rest of the world since December 11, 2001, when China entered the WTO for the past 10 years. He said that after China's accession to the WTO, it has not only expanded the market openness, but also strengthened the effective management of the domestic market and the protection of intellectual property rights for overseas investors, thus attracting more foreign investors and exporters to enter the Chinese market. Mr Lamy also said China's accession to the WTO would benefit the country. The WTO's provisions against trade protectionism have made the countries ' markets more open under the WTO framework. China's impact in the global economic crisis has been small and largely benefited. Lamy said that there are indeed trade frictions and disputes among countries around the world, but these phenomena are only "side effects" in the process of opening up international trade, and he believes that these problems will eventually be resolved in a peaceful and reasonable manner through legal means.
