Founded in 2006, RAYV has spent 6 years focusing on software development to enhance the Web-side and mobile-side high-definition video streaming service experience. In 2012, RAYV launched its software suite, including content distribution networks, content management systems, and digital rights management systems. Rayv previously financed more than $40 million, with investors including Accel, Argoquest Holdings LLC, Accure QSL and Entertainment Ventures, Dragon Ventures and metamorphic ventures.
RAYV's technology can provide high quality streaming media playback services to Yahoo's mobile and online users. In addition, the acquisition of RAYV can also help Yahoo further expand its business in Israel. Although RAYV is headquartered in Los Angeles, it has set up a research and development center in Tel Aviv.
