Beijing time, December 5 morning news, Yahoo said in Tuesday, the company has acquired a total of 5 employees of the video chat start-up company Ontheair, this is Marissa (Marissa Mayer) as the CEO to enhance Yahoo Mobile business capacity of the second acquisition deal.
Yahoo did not disclose the deal's specific financial terms, only that the Ontheair team will join the Yahoo Mobile business group. A Yahoo spokeswoman said the company does not plan to continue offering Ontheair existing products, which were released in March this year, allowing online users to engage in real-time video conversations.
Since Ms. Mayer became CEO earlier this year, it was Yahoo's second small deal to move as a target. In October this year, Yahoo bought New York mobile start-up, stamped, which allows users to share information about favorite restaurants and music via smartphones.
Ms. Mayer, a former Google executive, said after being CEO of Yahoo, her first priority was to build a coherent mobile strategy for Yahoo, and said she planned to give at least half of the company's technical strength to the development of mobile products.
