Beijing time April 3, cloud storage service provider Dropbox announced today that the Dropbox service will be fully integrated with Yahoo Mail Service, a consolidation that will make it easier for users to send, receive, and manage attachments. The basic idea of this collaboration is that it can be handled by Dropbox when there is a file limitation on e-mail attachments and it is difficult to keep them updated. Starting today, users can add files and save to any e-mail message from the Dropbox service.

Ilia Foshman Ilya Fushman, head of Dropbox Enterprise Development, said the company's mission was "to make it as easy as possible for users to get what they wanted anywhere." We are proud of the Yahoo email experience we created with the Yahoo team, which eliminates the extra steps that you must take to share the most important things you've ever emailed. By working with Yahoo, we are envisioning the task of email and making it easier for users to get, collaborate, and share information.

Yahoo says users can add any size file from Dropbox, even if the file is larger than 25MB. Yahoo email service has begun to provide Dropbox services in English, French, Spanish, German and Italian, and users can create new Dropbox accounts directly from within Yahoo Mail.

A few months ago, under the leadership of Yahoo's former general manager Vivic Shama Vivek Sharma, Yahoo had just redesigned its email service. In a redesigned version, Yahoo's email is easier to navigate on all important platforms. Marissa Marissa Mayer, Yahoo's chief executive, said at the time that the company's goal was to provide users with faster and more intuitive e-mail services. And today, by building this new partnership with Dropbox, Yahoo's email service will be tied to the cloud storage service, which is popular with many users, consolidating the concept that Mayer advocates.

Interestingly, the partnership was established shortly after the Dropbox acquisition of e-mail management Services mailbox. It is unclear whether mailbox services will be integrated with Yahoo's email service, which now supports only Gmail accounts. In addition, the New partnership looks reasonable because both Outlook and Gmail have been integrated with SkyDrive and Google Drive cloud storage services.

Dropbox is trying to take a step ahead of rivals such as Box and YouSendIt, which Yahoo hopes will attract more users to sign up to use their services and help Yahoo's email service compete with Gmail for market share.
