Yahoo launches email encryption to secure user information

As with the two-step verification technology, users can receive a time-sensitive verification code via mobile phone application or SMS. In other words, users do not have to use a traditional permanent password to log on to an account.
Yahoo's new model can even be called "One-Step validation." When a user tries to log on, he sees a "send me a password" button instead of a traditional password entry box.
"The first step is to eliminate the code," said Dylan Casey, vice president of Yahoo. Dalan Kessi. "It may be true, but it is undeniable that this pattern is inherently less secure than two-step verification, and Yahoo has previously provided the latter option for users."
However, "on-demand" validation does strike a balance between convenience and security, convincing users to discard traditional passwords. However, your account will also be compromised if the handset is acquired by an outlaw.
This is not the first time a tech company wants to eliminate passwords through a new model. Major science and technology giants are looking for the replacement of the password, many companies are also vigorously develop fingerprint and iris biometric identification programs.
Yahoo email has never been known for security, but the company is reversing that image. Unfortunately, the system does not automatically open all emails, said Alex Stamos, Yahoo's security director, who expects users to enable this feature only for particularly sensitive Alex Stamos messages. The Wall Street Journal reported that the system will not encrypt the recipient, subject, timestamp and other information, but the message body only the recipient and the sender can see.
