According to foreign media reports, Yahoo Monday announced the revision of its website Flickr. The portal giant has made a major upgrade to this picture-sharing service.

"We're going to talk about Flickr tonight," Yahoo CEO Marissa said at the meeting. "This is another ' R ' brand, and we'll talk about how to make Flickr great again." ”

A few hours ago, Yahoo officially announced the purchase of a 1.1 billion-dollar price of Light blog site Tumblr.

So far, Yahoo has announced three major changes to Flickr: A more concise interface design, a new Android app, and a larger storage space than any other photo-sharing site.

The new design removes all the original white pages from Flickr and jumps to the big picture. The user's home page is completely covered by a picture, and the following is a grid-displayed user photo. The same layout is seen when a user views another person's page. There is also a photo streaming page that shows the photos of the people you are watching.

Ms Mayer says big picture design is an important part of the new changes. All images can be uploaded with the original resolution Facebook and other sites will compress the image when uploading. Google's image service, announced last week to integrate into Google +, also uses a design that does not compress uploads.

Yahoo also says it will provide 1TB of free storage space for each flickr user. Google only provides 15GB of free space, 1TB space monthly charge of 49.99 dollars. "Other technology companies have never provided 1TB of storage space," said Adam Cahan, senior vice president of mobile products at the company's Adam Kakhan.

A new fee for the service is charged at $49.99 a year, and paying users can remove the ads on the page and use the standard Flickr analytics service. If you pay 499.99 dollars, users can expand storage space to 2TB.

Ms. Mayer added that there was a "natural opportunity" to integrate Tumblr with Flickr services.

Yahoo also announced today that it has rented office space in New York Times Square for about 500 local staff, plus room for 200 more. Tumblr's 175 employees will remain in Union Square in New York.
