According to the agreement, ZTE will provide the Reliance 2G and 3G network equipment, the details of the agreement has not been disclosed. Last month, India eased its ban on imports of telecoms equipment, as the government wants to introduce a 3G wireless network infrastructure. ZTE and other Chinese telecoms equipment manufacturers have reportedly agreed to allow India's security services to enter the network it has built in India to gain access to the Indian market. Indian operators have been barred from sourcing equipment from foreign manufacturers for 8 months, as the Government is concerned about the possible installation of "malware" in imported equipment that threatens national security.
