The ZTE lawsuit against Huawei is actually a counterattack against Huawei's lawsuit against ZTE in Europe. In Germany, France and Hungary this April 28, Huawei sued ZTE for violating its data cards, fourth-generation mobile-phone systems (LTE) patents and trademarks, while German courts approved Huawei's request to issue a temporary injunction to ZTE. In response, ZTE also launched a series of activities, such as the European application of Huawei's trademark and patent invalid, as well as the domestic launch of the tort lawsuit.
