Beijing Time August 5 News, according to foreign media reports, Japan's largest financial media, "Nikkei news" just reported on its website, social game giant Zynga has been "billions of yen (currently 1 billion yen, about 11.6 million U.S. dollars)," The purchase of Unoh, a start-up company in Tokyo, Japan. Neither Zynga nor Unoh has officially confirmed the news. However, Robin Chen Robinchan, managing director of Zynga Asia, said Zynga had just completed a deal 24 hours ago. Shortly before, Zynga financed 150 million of billions of dollars from the SoftBank group. The two sides said they would build a joint venture to develop and issue social gaming products in Japan. From the current situation, some of these funds may already be used for the transaction. Zynga will buy a 100% stake in Unoh and Zynga will transform its new Tokyo office into a strategic base for the Asian social gaming market, according to the Nikkei news. After the deal, Unoh will be responsible for the localization of Zynga's games in order to better adapt to the habits of Asian customers, but also will continue to launch in line with local and international market independent game products. Unoh, a start-up company that develops gaming products mainly for mobile phones and personal computers, has so far only been active in the Japanese domestic market. Unoh is currently the most popular game product named "Machitsuku", which is a free game for users, using a business model based on virtual equipment. Just last week, the Machitsuku game had a record of 3 million users in Japan's biggest social networking site, Mixi (with 20 million users). The deal with Unoh will also be the second major deal for Zynga in the Asian market. In May this year, Zynga bought Xpdmedia, a social gaming company in Beijing, but failed to disclose specific terms of purchase. Xpdmedia is actually a Robin Chen company. Chen has reportedly spent much of his recent time building Zynga's Tokyo office, but has been refusing to disclose information about the strategic aspects of Zynga Japan. (Edit Zhang Xing)
