Wonderland Software has developed an extremely popular iOS game, the Hand of God (Godfinger). Zynga said the acquisition wonderland not just for the "Hand of God" game, but for the Wonderland management team and some intellectual property. Details of the current takeover agreement have yet to be disclosed. After the deal is completed, Wonderland will be Zynga Mobile UK, a Zynga company based in the UK's renowned gaming Development center, near Gifford. It will also become Zynga's first game-making company in the UK, and Zynga says the UK market is critical to the company itself. Wonderland's current CEO, Matthew Matthew Wiggins, will be the managing director of Zynga Mobile UK, working under the leadership of the Zynga mobile director, David Gao (David Ko). Wonderland was founded in 2009, the founder of the "Ghost Fable (Fable)" series of games developers Lionhead employees. The company's most influential game, the Hand of God, was named Apple as one of the best apps on iOS4. Zynga Mobile UK will leverage Wonderland's talent and technology to develop new mobile games to expand the impact of Zynga's mobile gaming. It is also the fourth time Zynga has made a bid to expand its business beyond the US. Zynga has set up branches in Tokyo, Beijing and Frankfurt and has set up a business unit in India's Outsourcing center, Bangalore.
