hp-ux11.31作業系統上的filecache參數：filecache_max和filecache_min，

Default value:
filecache_min - approximately 5% of physical memory
filecache_max - approximately 50% of physical memory

 

該參數的作用類似於aix作業系統中的filesystemcache，如下涉及到的檔案系統上的操作會造成檔案系統緩衝直接佔用實體記憶體：

1.rman備份指令碼備份到檔案系統，2.expdp 匯出到檔案系統，3.export匯出到檔案系統，4.ftp上傳與下載hp-ux（或者aix）上的超大檔案。

 

那有人可能有疑問：我怎麼查看檔案系統緩衝當前佔用了多少實體記憶體呢？方法是使用hp-xu作業系統的glance命令：

glance斷行符號

敲m後就可以看到。

 

因此，在High memory utilization on HP-UX 11.31 due to parameter "filecache_max" [ID 1264915.1]文章中，直接建議如下：

SolutionReduce the value of filecache_max into 5% to 10% of physical memory since Oracle database server has buffer cache enabled. If there is other application running on the box, reduce the value little by little to see if there is any performance problem.

該建議是設定filecache_max 為10%，也就是filecache最多佔用10%的實體記憶體。不過在實際的工程實踐中，可以設定filecache_min=1%,filecache_max=1%.

 

注意，上面說的參數是hp-ux11.31中的參數，而在11.23中，是如下的參數來實現filecache功能:dbc_max_pct和dbc_min_pct
