mtype為mtools工具指令，類比MS-DOS的type指令，可顯示MS-DOS檔案的內容。

文法

mtype [-st][檔案]

參數說明：

• -s 去除8位字元碼集的第一個位，使它相容於7位的ASCII。
• -t 將MS-DOS文字檔中的"換行+游標移至行首"字元轉換成Linux的換行字元。

執行個體

開啟名為dos.txt 的MS-DOS檔案可使用如下命令：

mtype dos.txt           #開啟MS-DOS 檔案

顯示結果如下：

$ mtype dos.txt          #開啟MS-DOS 檔案
