These days I have a task about building a GUI for SFTP(one ftp software built ourselves).
So I choose QT and learn to use it: )
First, download the tarball "qt-x11-opensource-src-4.5.1.tar.gz" & "qt-creator-1.1.0-src.zip"
Second, tar and install the qt-x11 as follow:
tar -xzvf qt-x11-opensource-src-4.5.1.tar.gz</p><p>cd qt-x11-opensource-src-4.5.1.tar.gz</p><p>./configure --prefix=/usr/local/qt</p><p>(if you choose the root dir, you should type 'sudo' while make and make install) </p><p>sudo make</p><p>sudo make install<br />
Third, set qt environment var at .profile
QTDIR = /usr/local/qt<br />PATH = $QTDIR/bin:$PATH<br />MANPATH = $QTDIR/man:$MANPATH<br />LD_LIBRARY_PATH = $QTDIR/lib:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH</p><p>export QTDIR PATH MANPATH LD_LIBRARY_PATH
Up to now, we can use command 'qmake -project' and 'qmake' to create a Makefile of QT project and make it. Next I will show you how to install and use qt-creater, bye : )
