Lync前端伺服器上有一資料收集的代理（不錯就是前端），收集之後由前端伺服器上的訊息佇列(MSMQ)傳遞給監控伺服器的訊息佇列，最後由監控伺服器把資料寫入後台SQL資料庫。該資料庫可以是本地或者遠端SQL。訊息佇列組件必須在Lync的前端伺服器和監控伺服器都進行安裝，同時必須安裝目錄集成服務

監控伺服器拓撲，監控伺服器可以和存檔伺服器共置，監控伺服器也可以和資料庫共置或者分離，這點前面有提到過

監控伺服器報告給我們提供了很直觀的資料報告。雖然監控伺服器是lync的一個可選組件，但是個人感覺還是有必要安裝下。此外Lync 2010的監控伺服器不記錄通訊的過程而只記錄結果，通訊過程的任務就交給了存檔伺服器。
