Programmer 專用最佳字型 – Monaco font

昨天看到
Monaco Font 這篇文章, 然後看了附圖後, 覺得這字型真棒(看到此字型前, 我都是使用 DejaVu Sans Mono), 然後當然就找來試試囉~

剛開始不太習慣, 字的間距比較大, 但看久感覺很舒服, 值得推薦~

然後在找的時後, 順便有找到一篇文章:
Monospace/Fixed Width Programmer's Fonts , 裡面有寫到 Programmer 使用的字型該有哪些注意特點, 然後在下面也列不少推薦的字型.

轉載 Programming 字型標準 這段:

Good Programming Font Criteria:

• Crisp clear characters.
• Extended characterset.
• Good use of whitespace.
• 'l', '1' and 'i' are easily distinguished
• '0', 'o' and 'O' are easily distinguished
• forward quotes from back quotes are easily distinguished -prefer mirrored appearance
• Clear punctuation characters, especially braces, parenthesis and brackets

我最後是在此處下載:
Return of Monaco.ttf , 或自行找 MONACO.ttf 應該就找的到了.

然後安裝在 Ubuntu / Debian 的步驟如下:

1. cp monaco.ttf /usr/share/fonts/truetype/
2. fc-cache -f -v

這樣子就可以去修改字型找到 MONACO 囉~

PS: 想挑字型太累, 可以: apt-get install gnome-specimen , 用 gnome-specimen 來挑喜歡的字型來用比較快唷~

Debian 也新推出一個 Terminal 專用字型(apt-get install ttf-inconsolata):

Consolas 也很棒~(想直接抓 Consolas 字型, 可以找 Consolas.TTF).

Windows 可以直接抓 Font Pack, 如下連結:

  2. set guifont=Consolas:h14:cANSI
  3. colorscheme evening " 這個比較無關, 只是顏色設定

alan 推薦 terminus 字型, 有點像以前的倚天字型, 安裝法很簡單.

• apt-get install xfonts-terminus # 裝完就可以用囉
