Description

Seeking an experienced software device driver engineer on Linux; He/She will be involved in the core technology in Consumer Electronics Field and join R&D team in PRC SEG Software Group to design, develop and port Linux based device driver on XScale or IA32 based Consumer Electronics Platform.

Qualifications

Requires strong design and development expertise in C / ASM and software architecture.

Requires the good understanding in Linux Kernel, device driver architecture and strong knowledge in either or both of following area: 1) Platform Device Technology(PCI, PCI-E, USB, PATA, SATA, Kernel porting and bootloader); or/and 2) Multi-media processing (such as Transportation Stream, Program stream architecture, Video codec, Audio codec and A/V sync).

The successful candidate must have excellent communications skills, be a team player and demonstrate good interpersonal skills.

The candidate also needs to have the ability to work in teams spread across multiple sites including international locations.

The candidate needs to be fluent in Chinese and possess good English communication skills.

Requires a BS in Computer Science or Electronic Engineering with 3-4+ years of experience or MS with 2+ years working experience.
