說來慚愧,我所瞭解的牛人也只是大學教授,工業界的高手瞭解的還太少,雖然我對教育界的牛人瞭解的也不多,但這裡也要牢騷幾句,論壇上的人好像只是認識Gray,Razavi,Allen,Lee,要不是THU用Sansen的書估計大家還不知道有sansen這號人吧,其實不要只盯著Berkley,Stanford,UCLA,大家也應該瞭解一下KU Leuven這樣的歐洲名校,瞭解一下和Razavi同時期的M.Steyaert.廢話就不多說了,先要介紹一下我選的牛人,主要是依據ISSCC50周年上評選出來的TOP10 Contributors(感覺好像廣東十大傑出青年):Masakazu Yamashina, Behzad Razavi, Michel Steyaert, Asad Abidi, Mark Horowitz, Bruce Wooley, Robert W. Brodersen, David Hodges, Paul Grey, and James Meindl.第一位是NEC實驗室的資深經理,我對日本人一向沒有興趣,直接略過,Razavi和他的導師Wooley就不用說了,Abidi要提得是他雖然是Berkley的畢業生,但他的導師是Meyer,不是論壇上某些很崇拜他的人說的是Gray的學生,除了Abidi,Meyer的學生還有Sansen,Nguyen,Gray的學生主要是Tsividis,Song,Lewis.接著說其他幾位,M.Horowitz是T.H.Lee的師兄,都是從MIT畢業,還都到了Standford,只不過他做數位,對他的瞭解也很少,後五位全是老前輩,對他們的敬仰如滔滔江水一般,Broderson也是Berkley的老教授,大家可能看過他的講義或者視頻。David Hodges也是berkley的教授,但人家是做半導體製造系統的,所以也對他知之甚少。James Meindl是GIT的教授,主要研究微系統的,不過人家可是IEEE的終身Fellow.最後終點介紹一下M.Steyaert,他一直在KU Leuven念書和教學,只是作為訪問學者去過UCLA,是歐洲IC界的代表,他第一個用片上電感做的VCO,他和他的PHD Craninckx提出了振蕩器的線形分析方法是Phase-Noise理論的第二個裡程碑,是一位大家一直忽略卻在IC領域裡很有影響力的牛人,對其在中國的遭遇甚為不平。最後好要加進來Thomas.H Lee,這個ABK給我最大的印象就是有眼光、夠膽識,把拿21st International Physics Olympiad的那批學生挖到他的門下,98年憑他們的GPS晶片震動了整個IC界,Hajimiri的Phase-Noise,Rategh的Injection Locking讓人眼前一亮,在學生品質上也就Steyaert能與之媲美(Gray這樣的老前輩就不算了,要不太不公平了)。
之所以作這麼一片文章是要下決心和瘋狂下書的日子做告別,明明大部分的都不會看,還要花那麼多時間和精力去搜尋,實在慚愧之至,如果大家有什麼書論壇上找不到了可以發短訊息或者在此帖後留言給我,我會儘力幫忙了,但以後可能會很少上論壇,可能要很久才會有迴音,請大家諒解。凡是我所沒有的用紅色標明,都如果有人上傳了這些,請用簡訊通知或者在此帖後留言。
