fact table 和dimension table的區別

在看到Most Dialog reporting tables also use a suffix to identify the table as a fact (_Fact) table or a dimension table (_Dim)時想瞭解一下這兩種table的區別, 隨便搜了一下得到這樣的結果 Fact table和dimension table這是資料倉儲的兩個概念，是資料倉儲的兩種類型表。從儲存資料的角度來說，本質上沒區別，都是表。區別在於，Fact表用來存fact   資料，就是一些可以計量的資料和可加性資料，資料數量，金額等。dimension   table用來存描述性的資料，用來描述fact的資料，如地區，銷售代表，產品等。
