Ubuntu Natty locale issue

Ubuntu Natty (11.04), debootstrap-ed chroot environment

Running most commands would receive the following warning message:

perl: warning: Setting locale failed.perl: warning: Please check that your locale settings:LANGUAGE = "en_AU:en",LC_ALL = (unset),LANG = "en_AU.UTF-8"    are supported and installed on your system.perl: warning: Falling back to the standard locale ("C").
or
locale: Cannot set LC_CTYPE to default locale: No such file or directorylocale: Cannot set LC_MESSAGES to default locale: No such file or directorylocale: Cannot set LC_ALL to default locale: No such file or directory
Tested resolution is to add selected locale names to file
/var/lib/locales/supported.d/local
All supported names are available in /usr/share/i18n/SUPPORTED
