在安裝之前我們先來瞭解一下vista的配置要求：

處理器（CPU）

目前所有中端以上的Intel或AMD處理器都可以滿足Windows Vista的基本需求，低端處理器也可以運行 Vista，但是可能無法達到最佳效果，而且顯然無法在高端遊戲以及視頻編輯上勝任。 AMD和Intel都已經推出了各自的雙核心處理器，毋庸置疑的是，他們都將成為Windows Vista的出色選擇在64位方面，目前的AMD、Intel 64位處理器是個不錯的選擇，而且根據我們的預測，當Windows Vista正式上市時，64位平台已經廣泛普及。目前x64處理器包括：AMD Athlon 64, AMD Athlon 64 FX, Mobile AMD Athlon 64, AMD Turion 64, Intel Pentium 4 EM64T, Intel Pentium 4 Extreme Edition M64T，鑒於目前所有64位處理器都處於高端領域，所以他們皆為Windows Vista的出色選擇，而且，同時還協助你做好全面跨入64位系統的準備。

記憶體

為了獲得Windows Vista的先進功能，你至少需要512MB記憶體－－能夠支援系統運行以及普通的軟體運行需求。鑒於不少遊戲記憶體佔用量都逼近512MB，windows Vista使用者最好擁有1GB以及以上記憶體。如果你平時軟體應用對硬體要求較高，你最好確定新系統還有再加裝記憶體的空間。

顯卡

有一點非常重要：你的Windows Vista將擁有全新的華麗的圖形介面和外觀，因此你一定要考慮顯卡效能－－當然，你也可以通過設定將Vista的要求降到和windows XP相當。如果想要體驗Windows Vista的所有CoolCool的效果，你必須擁有一塊強大的顯卡。雖然更多關於驅動與視訊卡的資訊隨後才會公布，但是還是有一些基本原則可供你參考。首先你必須避免使用目前的低端GPU，保證你的顯卡支援DirectX 9，至少有64MB顯存。如果你自己攢機，最好選擇包括獨立的PCIe或者AGP顯卡，這樣你可以在未來進行升級。AGP和PCIe只是保證你以後能夠擁有足夠的Windows Vista顯示頻寬。
如果你選擇使用整合顯示晶片的系統，確保該系統存在PCIe/AGP插槽，同樣是為了升級。對於筆記本使用者，很顯然，你要在輕薄便攜和強大厚重之間做出抉擇，擁有最高顯示效能的筆記本往往是很沉很大的台式機替代品。在晶片集方面，盡量選擇nVIDIA和ATi的產品。

儲存硬體

Windows Vista在數位照片處理方面有很大改進，因此你需要更多空間來儲存高質相片檔案。硬碟自然是 越大越好，更重要的是，確保你的系統可以在未來加裝硬碟以擴充硬碟容量。鑒於硬碟是目前PC速度的瓶頸，你能夠在選擇高速硬碟中獲得顯著的效能提升。標準的IDE硬碟轉速位 7200PRM，2MB緩衝，而SATA硬碟則至少擁有8MB緩衝，並支援NCQ技術，所以，我們建議您考慮後者。對於Windows Vista PC來說，同時擁有讀寫能力的DVD磁碟機十分重要，目前DVD燒錄機價格下降速度很快 ，相信在Vista正式發布時，價格因素將不再是問題。

網路

保證你的PC擁有最新的網路相容能力，對於筆記本來說，要支援802.11無線網路，對於家用PC來說，至少 也得100Mb寬頻吧？對於PC加入無線網路功能將為你帶來更多機動性，與筆記本串連更方便。

總結

綜上所述，你不必為Windows Vista選擇目前最頂尖的系統，但是你至少要選擇中檔價位的電腦系統， 而且要注意留下升級的餘地。
