ubuntu 11.04將使用2.6.38內核

Ubuntu剛發佈了一個令人振奮的消息：ubuntu11.04將使用2.6.38內核。 眾所周知，該內核由於一段二百多行的雞血改進，將使得linux桌面回應提高十幾倍。

Meaning, slightly, better performance, Nick Piggins dentry scalability work has been merged, improHTTP://www.aliyun.com/zi xun/aggregation/18902.html">ving certain workloads up to 35% in simple tests performed by Linus Torvalds.

The next generation filesystem BtrFS is receiving updates which are expected to improve performance and stability. Hopefully making it possible to soon install Ubuntu on BtrFS in less than 3 hours.

The memory system has gained support for transparent huge page which should transparently improve performance by up to 10% in some situations.

The drivers have also seen a number of updates as usual.
