Network requirements
1. Customer Network Application Requirements
The school has 800 pcs and has two categories of network applications, teaching applications and office applications. There are many multimedia teaching machine rooms for teaching applications, and a large number of network broadcast teaching exists in teaching. Office applications require efficient and reliable network communication. There is no obvious physical division between the office space and the teaching place of the school. It is required to share resources of teaching network applications and office network applications.
2. Customer Network Management requirements
To avoid the impact of broadcast storms on network performance, it is required that all multimedia teaching machine rooms be divided into two network segments, and the office areas are divided into two network segments. The human resources and financial network segments can access other network segments, other CIDR blocks cannot access human resources and financial CIDR blocks. In view of the security requirements, the computer of the financial network segment must implement authenticated access.

Network Configuration
1.3COM 4400 Switch 1 Configuration
3COM 4400 Switch 1 is set as a VLAN. the servers in this VLAN provide network resource services for the entire campus network, ensuring that all workstations on the campus network can access these network resources.
1) create a VLAN
Bridge vlan crea // bridge option vlan option create Option Select vlan id (2-4094) [2]: 10 // sets the vlan id. Each vlan id must be unique. Enter VLAN Name [VLAN 10]: vlan server zone // you can specify the VLAN Name.

2) Add the port to the VLAN
Bridge vlan modi // bridge option vlan option modify Option Select menu option bridge/vlan/modify): add Select vlan id 1, 10, 20, 30) [1]: 10 Select bridge ports AL1-AL13, unit: port ...,?) : 1: 1-6 Enter tag type untagged, tagged): unt // do not reuse the flag |
