3rd Lesson-coredump Program Failure Analysis

1. Definition
A sudden error occurred while the program was running. Linux then stores the contents of the memory in a core file when the program goes wrong, and this process is called core Dump. It's called the core dump.
2. Main uses:
Segment error, the place where the segment error occurred is mainly
(1) Array access is out of bounds
(2) access to null pointers
(3) Stack Overflow
(4) Modify the system memory
3. Enable Coredump
Open Ulimit-c Unlimited
Close Ulimit-c 0
4. Create the core file under the wrong program directory and use GDB to view the contents of the file.
GDB Program name (executable program) core file
5. Note that the compiled program should have the-G option, and debug the information again for GDB to use.
