Definition and browsing Translation:
Translation is a Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services (SSAs) object (for example, a measurement value group, measurement value, dimension, attribute, hierarchy, KPI, operation, and computing member) in a specific language). Translation to client applications supporting multiple languages Program Provides server support. With this client, the client can pass the region settings identifier (lcid) to the Analysis Services instance, this instance uses lcid to determine which translation group to use when providing metadata for analysis services objects. In this topic task, define metadata translation for a limited set of dimension objects in the "time" dimension and Multidimensional Dataset objects in the analysis services tutorial cube. Then, you can browse these dimensions and Multidimensional Dataset objects to check the metadata translation.

2. Open"Time"Dimension designer, and then click"Translation"Tab.

   The metadata of each dimension object is displayed in the default language, as shown in. The default language in the Multidimensional Dataset in the analysis services tutorial is English.

4. In"Translation"On the toolbar of the tab, click"New Translation".

   The language list is displayed in"Select language"Dialog box.

6. Click"Spanish (Spain )"And then click"OK".

   A new column is displayed, in which you can define the metadata object to be translated as translated in Spanish. In this tutorial, only a small number of objects are translated to illustrate this process.
