If Reply from 192.168.0.1: bytes = 32 time <1 ms TTL = 64 appears, it indicates that the computer has been connected to the DI-524M, you can perform the next step.

After you click the network connection wizard, the network connection setting step is displayed. After learning about this step, you can click Next to set it. Click Next and set the password in the window below.
By default, the management password for entering the vro configuration interface is blank. To ensure the security of the device, you can set a password to prevent others from changing the configuration of your vro; please write down the configured login password, otherwise you may not be able to log on to the DI-524M setting interface in the future; if you forget the login password, you will reset the router, the specific method please refer to the corresponding instructions. After entering the password twice, click Next to set the time zone. You can also click Next without setting a password. If you are in China, select GMT + from the drop-down list and click Next to set the network connection. A total of three methods are available, including DHCP connection to dynamic IP addresses), user name/password connection to PPPoE), and fixed IP address connection. By default, it is a dynamic IP address connected by DHCP ).
If you are not sure which type you want to select, refer to the following types:
A. If your computer is directly connected to ADSL or Cable Modem, you do not need to make any connection settings to connect to the network, please select DHCP connection;

The following uses dynamic IP addresses, PPPoE, and static IP addresses as examples.
1) DHCP connection dynamic IP address)
Click DHCP connection in, and then click Next. You can choose whether to clone the MAC address of the PC to the vro or enter the host name. Click Next. The system prompts you that the network connection has been set up. Click Next to save the settings and restart the vro. On the system status page, you can see that the IP address on the WAN has displayed a numerical value, indicating that the DHCP connection is successful.
2) User Name/password for PPPoE connection): Click the user name/password for PPPoE connection, and then click Next. Enter the user name, password, and password in the following interface. After filling in the information, click Next. The system prompts you that the network connection has been set up. Click Next to save the settings and restart the vro. Then, you can see that PPPoE is connected on the system status page. If you are a monthly online user, you must check the online mode selection on the manual configuration page. The online mode is generally automatically online by default, that is, as long as the router is enabled, the network will be automatically detected. If the connection to the network is normal at this time, it will be automatically connected to the Internet, regardless of whether you enable the computer to access the Internet, therefore, if you do not use a vro, power off the vro to avoid high network usage.
3) Check the fixed IP address Connection check box, and then click Next. Click Next and enter the IP address, subnet mask, default gateway, and preferred DNS server address provided by the ISP on the configuration page.
Note: The ipsettings entered in are just an example. Do not enter your settings accordingly. Click Next after setting. The system prompts you that the network connection has been set up. Click Next to save the settings and restart the vro. Then, on the system status page, you can see that the network is connected. Now, the network connection configuration in accordance with the settings wizard has been completed. You only need to perform the above network connection setting wizard once, and then the rest of the computers only need to make TCP/IP settings in the operating system. In this step, you can set security for your wireless network. If you do not want to modify the default configuration, you can skip this step to set the default SSID to dlink without encryption ). For more information, see the following steps. In the setup wizard-Configuration Wizard, click the Wireless Security Configuration Wizard. After confirming the settings, click Next. 2. Enable encryption. We recommend that you use WEP encryption. In the following interface, select general security and click Next. Set the security key. Click Next. Note that the WEP Key must be 13 characters long ). In this case, the configured wireless network is displayed. Remember this information so that the wireless network card cannot be connected in the future. In this setting, the WEP key length is 128 bits and uses ASCII. If you need to set another key length or method, you can manually change it in the wireless settings. Confirm the following information and click Save. So far, the wireless network security settings have been completed.
Step 6 of D-link wireless router configuration: configure a computer with a wireless network card to access the Internet
This article takes Windows xp OS as an example. The computer comes with a wireless network card.
1. Open "network connection", right-click the wireless network connection to enable the wireless network.
