About "ARC forbids explicit message send of release" error (reprinted)

If you are doing release,retain related actions, you find that you have prompted such an error. This is due to the use of the ARC feature in the new project, which is the option to click on the Automatic Reference counting. The solution to this problem is simple:

In the boss's Xcode, open "Build Setting" and find the "Objective-c Automatic Reference Counting" entry and set its value to "NO"

In newer Xcode like 4.2, open "Build Setting" and find "Clang_enable_objc_arc" to set its value to No

This will turn off the ARC function.
