About the UI test for this experiment

In this experiment, because most of the Windows apps I wrote earlier were user-interface-based apps, testing them should be done with UI testing, and through learning and experimentation, I summarized the following about what UI testing should be aware of.

UI Interface Test Essentials

1, the interface line is consistent, the line in each interface is aligned, whether consistent. (The static page is not confirmed in the case).

2, the entire system interface is consistent.

3, the interface whether there is a typo.

4, the button style on the interface is consistent.

5, each interface is consistent with the original static page settings (the case of static page confirmation)

6, the operation is friendly.

7, the interface all the buttons, drop-down box whether there is a response.

8, the interface all the links are normal;

9, the interface all the input boxes are verified (for example: Search box, field input box).

10, the interface all the display picture whether the style is consistent.

11, the interface all the list page title Word will be wrapped, the title word is Unified Center, of course, can also be left, this depends on the company norms;

12, browser compatibility issues, check whether the page in different browsers will occur abnormal;

13, each page of the prompt font color, format is unified and accurate;

14. If all fields in the interface are followed by a colon, colon, or colon, see if the colons are a uniform Chinese or English colon.

15, the interface prompts to explain whether too verbose, sometimes need to simplify as far as possible, and the font display format consistent, color uniformity.

UI Interface test Methods

1. Between the window and the window, the navigation between the field and the field, and the use of various access methods (tab key, mouse movement and shortcut key);

Test method: Create or modify each window to verify that each application window and object are properly browsed and in a normal object state.

3. Navigation test: Navigation describes how the user operates within a page, between different user interface controls, such as buttons, dialogs, lists, and windows;

Different links between pages, by thinking about the following questions, you can determine whether a Web application system is easy to navigate, navigation is intuitive? Is the main part of the Web system accessible through the home page? Whether the web system requires a sitemap, search engine, or other navigational aids.

4. Graphics Testing

Graphics include pictures, animations, borders, colors, fonts, backgrounds, buttons, and more.

1) To ensure that the graphics have a clear purpose, the picture or animation do not randomly stacked together, so as not to waste transmission time, Web application system picture size to be as small as possible, and to be able to clearly explain something, generally can be linked to a specific page;

2) Verify that all page font styles are consistent;

5. Content Testing

Content testing is used to verify the correctness, accuracy, and relevance of the information provided by the Web application system. The correctness of information refers to whether the information is reliable or misinformation. The relevance of the information refers to whether the current page can find a list of information related to the current browsing information or the portal, that is, the general web site of the so-called "related article List."

6. Form Testing

Need to verify that the table is set correctly, do users need to scroll the page to the right to see the price of the product?

Is it more effective to put the price on the left and the product details on the right?

is the width of each column wide enough for the text in the table to be wrapped?

is the contents of the whole row elongated because there is too much content in one of the lattices?

7. Overall interface Testing

Overall interface refers to the entire Web application system page structure design, is to give users a sense of the whole. For example: When a user is comfortable browsing a Web application, is it intuitive to know where to find the information? is the design style consistent across the Web application system?
