Access and sqlserver gaps

Today, I helped my brother migrate one of his system databases from access to sqlserver.
Because the system design uses the. NET several-layer architecture, it is easy to handle it.
I suddenly lamented the comparison results.
It takes 15 seconds to access a report and 4 seconds to access sqlserver.
It takes 3 seconds for a report to be stored in a crystal report.
So access: 15-3 = 12 seconds, sqlserver 4-3 = 1 second
The gap is too big.
No wonder sqlserver is so expensive!
