Definition: Vertical Scaling means that a broker can support more consumer and producer connections.

Tricks to optimize Vertical Scaling: You can use the following techniques to adjust the Vertical Horizontal of the broker.
  • NIO transport on the broker-When defining the broker connection transmission protocol, NiO transport (instead of TCP protocol) can reduce the thread demand. Do not use NiO on the client, because it is only used in the broker. (In broker)
  • Allocate more memory to broker-Use the JVM-XmxTo increase the available memory of the broker.
  • Reduce initial thread stack size-Use the JVM-XSSOption to allocate a small initial tread stack size.
