Add a background to Word

Word only displays the background that you added with the background command on the Format menu in Web layout view, which is not designed for printed documents.

Click the Background command on the Format menu, click the color you want, or click More colors to see other colors that you can use. Click the fill Effect command to select special effects, such as textures. As shown in Figure 1. Select the options you want.

If you do not specify a background for a Web page authored in Word, you will use the default background color that is set in the Web browser.

In addition to the textures shown on the Texture tab, you can use any image as a texture. Click the more Textures button on the Texture tab, switch to the location that contains the file you want, select the file, and then click OK.

When you create a Web page, Word saves the texture as a separate graphics file (such as Image.gif). By default, the file is saved in a supporting file folder (this Support folder is located in the folder where the Web page is located). To change the location of your graphics file, click the File tab in the Web Options dialog box.

use a picture as a background

1, click the Fill Effect command on the Background submenu of the Format menu, and then click the Picture tab. As shown in Figure 2.

2, click the Select Picture button, switch to the folder that contains the picture you want, select a picture, and then click the Insert button.

Add watermark to printed document

to print a watermark, you must insert it into a header or footer. This does not mean that the watermark can only be at the top or bottom of the page, and that any watermark anywhere on the page can be printed.

 

 

1, click The headers and Footers command on the View menu.

2, click the Show/Hide Document Text button on the Header and Footer toolbar

3, insert graphics (that is, graphic objects such as AutoShapes, clip art, WordArt, or pictures), or insert a text box.

4, click the Close button on the Header and Footer toolbar.
