Editor's note: This article is a starter training course for Android 2.2 developers after three weeks of learning about Android. The article is well-developed. This is a very good tutorial for friends who have just studied Android development.
I. Environment configuration and installation of Android 2.2)
Refer to tutorial on building an Android development environment under Eclipse
1.1 JDK
1.2 SDK
1.3 Eclipse 3.5 (Galileo)

Ii. Android system architecture
2.1Linux Kernel (Linux Kernel)
◆ Android runs on linux kernel 2.6, but replaces the parts restricted by the GNU protocol in linux, so that Android programs can be used for commercial purposes.
◆ The Linux kernel is the abstraction layer between the hardware and software layers.
2.2 Middleware
◆ Middleware includes two parts: core library and runtime (libraries & Android runtime)
◆ The core library includes the SurfaceManager Display System Management Library, which displays 2D or 3D content to the screen. The Media Framework library is responsible for supporting images and recording and playback of multiple videos and audios; SQlite database, a powerful lightweight embedded relational database, and WebKit browser engine.
◆ Dalvik Virtual Machine: Unlike Java virtual machine, every Android application runs in its own process and has its own Dalvik virtual machine, this allows the system to be optimized at runtime and greatly reduces the impact between programs. The Dalvik virtual machine does not run Java bytecode, but runs its own bytecode.
2.3 Application Framework (Application Framework)
◆ Rich and scalable view Views), which can be used to build applications, including lists, grids, text box boxes), and buttons ), embedded web browsers.
◆ Content Providers) allow applications to access data of another application, such as the contact database, or share their own data.
◆ Resource Manager) provides access to non-code resources, such as local strings, images, and layoutfiles ).
◆ Notification Manager) enables applications to display custom prompts in the status bar.
◆ Activity Manager) is used to manage the application lifecycle and provides common navigation rollback functions.
2.4 Applications)
◆ The Android system has built-in application packages, including the email client, SMS Short Message program, calendar, MAP, browser, and contact management program. All applications are written in JAVA.
