ADB Android Debug Bridge.
The ADB tool is located in the platform-tools subdirectory of the Android SDK installation directory.

Main functions:Run the shell (command line) of the device to manage the port ing of the simulator or device. Upload/download files between the computer and the device to install the local apk software to the simulator or android device. Common commands:Adb connect 192.168.1.103 adb devices adb remount adb install [-r] *. apk adb shell adb logcat Common Errors During network set-top box (OTT) Development:

1. During the development of the network set-top box (OTT), The OTT box cannot use the adb tool. You must enter the following command in the serial port:

setprop service.adb.tcp.port 5555start adbd

2. adb connect FAQs

 * daemon not running. starting it now on port 5037 *ADB server didn't ACK * failed to start daemon *error: cannot connect to daemon

Problem analysis: the port 5037 used by adb is occupied by other applications. Check and kill it.
Terminal input netstat-a-o 5037

Check which process tasklist/fi "pid eq 6520" is 6520"
