Android image refresh Method

1) refresh at the Java layer:

If you want to refresh in thread, use postinvalidate. If you want to refresh in timer, you can use handler message to refresh. The ondraw function must be rewritten for specific refresh.

2) refresh in JNI:

Pass the surfaceholder pointer to the ndk (the JNI layer is registered with videodriver_register ). Use the following methods to refresh:

Void * pbits;

Videodriver_getpixels (width, height, & pbits );

Memcpy (pbits, rgbbuffer, width * height * 2); // rgbbuffer is data in rgb565 format.

Videodriver_updatesurface ();

The specific refresh method can be considered based on the speed requirement and the complexity of the program architecture. If you do not require high playback speed, you can refresh it at the Java layer, and the platform portability will be better.
