2. unzip the ax2012r3 installation package, the original file is the ISO image file, unzip the folder mode.

3. first hit the kaixie pressure software, such as WinRAR, and then drag and drop CU8 Patch pack package.axupdate files, to unzip the software, ( Because this file is not a standard compressed file suffix name, can not be directly right-click Decompression ) , open to MSI folder, select File MSIs , unzip to a disk, the same way, drag and drop MSIs files, to unzip the software,

You can see the file directory as follows:

Click "Extract to", extract to a directory, generate a folder called MSIs .

4. Copy the extracted MSIs folder to ax2012r3 under the installation package Updates folder. ( actually only need to copy vstools name-related folders )

5. re-run ax2012r3 setup, select VS2013 component, Next, an error appears, ( If there are no previous steps, it will appear that VS error message that the installation package version is not correct ) , said not found a DLL file ( File path is very long ) , Workaround: Based on the file path of the prompt, in the updates\msis folder, Find the corresponding folder, layer into the folder name with the " %20 " character, replaced by a space. The reason for this error is that the patch package file that you just unzipped, the space in the folder name, is " %20 " placeholder, to be replaced. Then click on the "Retry" button in the error prompt, the installation will continue, and then error can not find another dll file, the same way. %20 can follow the prompts to replace, do not need to replace all, too many folders. When running the Setup wizard, it is important to install the AX installation package, preferably in the root directory of the disk, the folder name is not too long, because the patch pack inside, many layer folders, causing the file path name is too long, install VS plug-in, looking for a Dll file, the file path is too long to find a file problem.

6. after processing the DLL can not find errors, the installation is basically done.
