1. router configuration path

You can configure a vro in the following ways:

1. Use the master Console port to connect to the terminal configuration.
2. Connect a Modem to the telephone network at the AUX port and configure it at the remote end.
3. You can configure telnet through virtual termianl on the TCP/IP network.
4. You can download the configuration from the TFTP Server.
5. You can use the network management workstation for configuration.

How to Use the Console port to configure a vro

Vro memory type

There are three types of vro Memory: RAM (Random Access Memory), NVRAM (Non-Volatile Random Access Memory), and EEPROM (Electronic Erasable Programmable Random Access Memory, also known as Flash ).

Role of vro memory

NVRAM: stores the user's vro configuration table.
RAM: After a vro is powered on, the configuration table is transferred from NVRAM to RAM, and the vro activities are controlled. The vro route table and data buffer are stored.

Differences between NVRAM and RAM

The user changes the vro configuration in RAM.
After the user stores the configuration table, RAM places the copy of the configuration table in NVRAM
After a vro loses power, the RAM content is lost, and the NVRAM content is retained.
