Cloudstack dynamically modifies CPU and memory

Environment:

Centos6.4 + cloudstack4.2 + xenserver 6.2

 

Prepare for Dynamic Modification of cloudstack guest memory and CPU:

 

1. Install the xenserver tools Toolkit

2. modify the global configuration enable of cloudstack. dynamic. scale. the VM is truemem. overprovisioning. factor = 2 (memory overload 2 times, if the host memory is large enough, ignore) 3. select dynamically scalable in the template.

 

 

At the beginning, there were a lot of pitfalls:

Xenserver tools has been installed, but an error is prompted.

 

 

 

 

 

The final result is that dynamically scalable in the template is not enabled.

 

 

 

Shut down and turn on this option

 

 

Add Computing Scheme (CPU and memory capacity configuration)

 

 

 

Apply on the guest to be changed

There is also a pitfall where Linux 64-bit and 32-bit Windows 7 operating systems run on the VM. If the VM initially does not allocate 3 GB of RAM, it can dynamically expand to 3 GB, instead of more.
