This residential area is a relatively large residential area with multiple residential buildings. Each building has 20 floors and multiple residential buildings on each layer. The structure is a ladder and two apartments. The residential area was built earlier, and no computer network was deployed between buildings and residential buildings. The distance between buildings was large and all the residents had stayed.
Currently, it is difficult to re-wiring residential buildings by means of cables. At the same time, due to the river passing around the residential area, the terrain is complex, and the roads and buildings are intensive, if you use DDN or fiber optic cable access to access a residential area, the construction cost is high and the construction period is long.
The best solution for the community network should be the all-wireless solution. The wireless LAN technology has the features of no or little wiring, fast and convenient installation, and is not restricted by space and construction structure. It can solve the wiring problem encountered in the network construction of the residential area. According to the actual situation of the project, the wireless network construction of the Community is planned to adopt a 3.5 GHz, GHz, and GHz hybrid networking mode: The GHz broadband wireless access is used to achieve the last kilometer backbone network access, A GHz Wireless Bridge is used for network access between buildings, and a GHz Wireless LAN device is used for wireless access to residential buildings. Using GHz Wireless LAN technology to cover a large number of users in a building not only can greatly save the cost of wiring and installation, but also it is quite easy to increase or decrease the number of users in a wireless LAN, by increasing the number of wireless access points, you can increase the number of users and coverage. This feature is very suitable for the gradual development of residential network construction requirements. Operators can flexibly configure devices based on the development of the number of residential users to make full use of resources and save costs. A small number of access points can be configured at the initial stage of network activation. As the number of users increases, increasing the number of access points as needed can save a lot of costs.
Ii. Networking Solution
1. Solutions for wireless network connection between residential buildings
Install the 3.5GHz terminal station on the roof of a higher residential area to communicate with the 3.5GHz Base Station of the carrier headquarters, and access the residential area switch through the 10/100 M Ethernet port of the 3.5GHz terminal station, the vswitch is connected to the 5.8GHz Wireless Bridge Center Station on the same roof. A 5.8GHz wireless bridge remote station is built on the roof of each residential building in the same area. The Wireless Bridge center station uses a 90-degree sector antenna, use four devices to cover all residential buildings within the 360 degree range. The remote Wireless Bridge Station of the 5.8 GHz on the roof of other buildings uses a targeted antenna to communicate with the wireless bridge Center Station.

2. Wireless Network Access Solution for residential buildings
For the wireless network construction of residential buildings, because the residential buildings in this community have a one-ladder and two-family structure, if the AP is placed in the corridor between the two residents on each layer, in this way, the residents on both sides of the corridor can receive wireless signals from the AP. However, due to the layer-by-layer blocking of the wall and the possible impact of the reinforced structure and iron anti-theft door in the wall, the wireless signal attenuation will be great, one Wireless Access Point AP can only cover several residents, which increases the total number of APS and increases the difficulty and cost of network construction. Therefore, we consider using wireless devices to overlay the windows and balconies of adjacent residential buildings. The specific solution is as follows: the AP is set up on the open roof balcony. All residential buildings in the building are covered by a 45-to 60-degree sector antenna based on the building height. wireless signals are sent to the room through windows and balconies, without being blocked by the wall, the signal attenuation is reduced, so that a high-power AP can be used to cover the residential buildings on the opposite side. If a high-power AP access point is set up on the roof of each building, the balcony and windows of the opposite residential home are illuminated and covered, you can use the least equipment to connect the vast majority of residential buildings in the community to the network. If this method is used, one side of a building is not covered, you can also set up special access points on the roof outside the residential area or other suitable locations to supplement the building.
The device configuration method is to set up a Sunet5800 series outdoor Wireless Bridge of 10/100 GHz on the roof of each building for building access. The outdoor Wireless Bridge of GHz is connected to the building switch through the M Ethernet port, the building switch is connected to the Sunet2411 high-power Wireless Access Point AP on the same roof. The 2.4GHz high-power Wireless Access Point uses a sector antenna to cover the balcony and windows of the opposite residential building, to achieve wireless access to users in the entire community. The Sunet2411 high-power Wireless Access Point (AP) complies with the IEEE802.11b standard. The bandwidth is 11 Mbps and the output power is 100 Mw. It can be used with a 60-degree sector antenna to cover Wireless terminals within 300 meters. The advantage of this solution is that the effect of the wall structure on the attenuation of wireless signals can be ignored, the number of devices can be greatly reduced, and the construction cost can be reduced.
The capacity of the entire wireless network can be expanded freely. Generally, a high-power wireless access point can be connected to 256 clients. The current design can basically meet this requirement. If the number of users increases in the future, you can add a wireless access point AP. The Wireless Access Point uses WEP64-bit or 128-bit encryption to ensure the data of wireless communication during transmission. In addition, you can group wireless access points and wireless network cards by setting the wireless network card group to control user access.

Iii. device Selection
The entire project was planned, designed, and constructed by sugon Telecom commissioned by the operator, and most of the products provided by sugon Telecom.
Shuguang Telecom's wireless LAN product Sunet2400 series) consists of wireless routers, wireless bridges, Wireless Access Point AP), PCMCIA card and PCI adapter. The product complies with IEEE802.11b/g standards, the direct-order spread spectrum (DSSS) technology is used to work in the GHz international open wireless communication frequency band, and the product can realize the data transmission rate of 11 Mbps, the product supports Windows 9x/NT/ME/2000 and the existing main UNIX operating systems. It uses 40-bit or 128-bit encryption algorithms and SSID, MAC, WEP, and other technologies, to provide higher security.
Based on the actual situation of the wireless office network, we use the Sunet2400 Wireless Access Point, wireless network card, wireless PCI adapter and the corresponding indoor antenna in the project. The Sunet2400 Wireless Access Point supports 256 wireless network users. It manages the information traffic of the wireless workstation within a coverage area of 500 m. Multiple wireless access points can achieve load balancing. The Sunet2400 wireless network adapter includes the PCMCIA network adapter and the wireless PCI network adapter. It integrates the reserved antenna and external antenna interfaces and allows the client to freely roam in the network. The wireless PCMCIA Nic allows the mobile client to freely roam in the network to implement mobile office. The wireless PCI adapter works with the wireless lan pcmcia Nic to implement high-speed wireless access for desktop PCs with PCI interfaces.
The Sunet2400 wireless router is a point-to-multiple-point Wireless Router Based on the TCP/IP protocol. The product supports convenient wireless Internet access for fixed and mobile users. The product provides two 10/100 M Ethernet ports, provides the NAT Function and supports up to 256 clients. It features powerful functionality and easy installation and maintenance. The product supports the Radius function to implement authentication, authentication and billing, and roaming. The product allows service providers to deploy wireless networks to connect to the Internet in public places, especially in hotspot areas where business people are concentrated, such as airports, hotels, and conference centers.
Management software can help administrators detect the performance of Wireless LAN, signal strength, throughput, packet delay, and so on. Administrators can monitor and manage instances through standard Telnet, SNMP, or Web interfaces. It also provides other management functions to restrict user access permissions and bandwidth through the MAC address of the wireless LAN and protocol layer parameters.
