Create raid on an IBM Minicomputer

1. First, use the diagnostic CD boot partition attached to the minicomputer, as shown in the step.

The three options need to be selected based on the actual hardware situation. In this example, the p780 is configured with the first card.

The step is to format the hard disk to be configured as raid and change it to pdisk. In this example, make the three hard disks in the partition into RAID 5.

Format the three hard disks as pdisks.

Wait for about 15 minutes.

After the execution is completed, press enter to return to the upper menu.

After creating a pdisk disk, create a raid group.

Select RAID 5 for the raid level.

The size of the Strip. If there are no special requirements, you can select the default kb.

Select the pdisk disk in the raid group.

After the raid is created, the process is very fast, several seconds.
