Delete data from two tables

Source: Internet
Author: User
As we all know, delete cannot be followed by multiple tables, but sometimes data in multiple tables must be maintained at the same time when data is deleted. What should we do?
Assume that two tables A and B are associated by ID. Table A has a time field while Table B does not. Data is deleted by time period.
SQL:

Declare   @ Delid   Table (ID Int )

Delete A
Output deleted. ID
Into   @ Delid
From A
Inner   Join B On A. ID = B. ID
Where A. dt > = ' 2007-11-1 '   And A. dt <= ' 2007-11-2 '

DeleteBWhereIDIn(SelectIDFrom @ Delid)

Note: This is the new mssql2005 Syntax: delete
