Select Web Search in the left window, select Current site in the right window, and then click Finish to open the Search Form Properties dialog box, as shown in Figure 1. In the Search Form Properties tab, set the label for the input box to site search:. Then switch to the Search Results tab, set the information and formatting that you want to display when the query results are displayed, select the Show file size and select file dates check box, and when you're done, "OK," the search form will appear in the Web page, as shown in Figure 2. It should be noted that the established search form needs to be published before it works properly.

If you want the text to appear in the text box the first time a visitor opens the form, you can enter the text to display in the initial value box, set the width of the text box in width, and then click OK. In addition, you can insert check boxes, drop-down boxes, option buttons, and many other controls into the current form.

Confirmation page

Once a visitor completes a form and submits it, a confirmation page can be displayed to show what the visitor has entered.

First create a new blank page, set its name to "Confirm Web page. htm". Then open a form page that has already been created, right-click, and select Form properties to open the Form Properties dialog box.

Click the Options button, select the Confirm Page tab, click the Browse button after the Confirm page text box, and select Confirm page. htm. Then switch to the saved Fields tab, where you will see the name of the object in the form you just made, click the Save All button, and then "OK" to return to the form, which points the confirmation page of the current form to confirmation page. htm.

Each form you want to display needs to repeat the steps above.

Forms that you design using FrontPage need to be published to a server that is running the FrontPage Server Extensions or Microsoft SharePoint Team Services to work correctly.
