Some engineers can easily deploy cables or make procurement. It is very easy to use network cables to deploy cables to controllers. Although there seems to be no problem during debugging, after a while, problems may occur frequently.

From the electric lock to the Controller line, if the line length is less than 50 meters, the use of cross-sectional area of 1.0 mm² two-core power cord, no need to shield, if more than 50 meters, please cloth more than one two-core power cord, parallel power supply. If the wire length is greater than 100 meters, we recommend that you move the Controller closer to the door locks to shorten the wiring distance. It is a power supply widely used by access control devices at home and abroad. Some Engineering vendors may ask if they can use a switching power supply. The switching power supply has a high power and the effective power is high. We do not recommend using a switching power supply. The switching power supply usually has a high frequency ripple, will affect the stability of the host operation.

-- 485 lines do not use twisted pair wires, or use low-end passive converters! 485 the communication line must follow the standard hand-in-hand bus mode. If 485 is out of specification or beyond the communication range, communication fails or sometimes fails.

485 transmission is a differential mode transmission mode. Only 485 + and 485-are mutually twisted to minimize the interference of 485 transmission mode. The transmission is the farthest, and the transmission quality is the best. Some Engineering engineers do not use twisted pair wires, which can cause great interference. Some Engineering engineers mistakenly think that the transmission quality of rough lines will be good, and the twisted pair wires will be merged into one strand, And the other twisted pair wires will also be merged into one strand, Which is counterproductive, this greatly reduces the communication quality.

There is a small converter with no power supply available on the market, and the price is cheap. However, anti-interference performance is poor. It is generally used for indoor short-distance communication between a single machine, such as a attendance machine. Not suitable for access control systems. Although it claims to be able to carry 32 devices with a transmission distance of 1000 meters, it is often far from reaching the index in practical applications. Therefore, we recommend that you do not use this Passive Converter. Unless in the room, the communication distance is less than 100 meters, and the number of loads is less than two. You can consider the cost. Otherwise, we strongly recommend that you use an active 485 converter at a much more stable price. The number of load controllers is also large. Anti-interference, anti-lightning, and anti-surge effects are also good.

485 star connections are prohibited from wiring, that is, the transformer cannot be separately pulled from the transformer to various controllers, and then connected in parallel on the transformer. This connection causes poor communication quality. The converter must first come to a controller, and then connect to the next controller. One controller can connect to the next controller, just like a string of grasshoppers. Non-standard 485 wiring, even if the future use of shield grounding terminal resistance to improve is useless.

Iv. Precautions for Common Access Control cabling system errors
