Entry: git @ OSC server and IDC preparation

Due to storage capacity problems, we have decided to migrate the [email protected] system from the cloud platform to an independent server. We will record the entire [email protected] system migration process, and share with you the various problems encountered in the process through this classification.

Compared with the cloud platform, independent servers have to invest a lot in O & M costs, but in order to meet the increasing requirements of the [email protected] system, we have to leave it alone. The entire migration process is expected to take several months.

We have prepared nine servers in the early stage, including three large-capacity storage servers. All servers use Dell's r420 and r720 models. Currently, servers are mounted in the BGP data center in Beijing, with a total of cabinets.

Next, we will focus on the installation of basic software and stress testing. In terms of storage, we will adopt the # CEpH # software. Each piece of data has three copies to ensure data reliability.

All servers use Ubuntu server 14.04.01.

In addition, we are recruiting O & M engineers and Ruby engineers. Open-source underpants will be offered during on-site interviews.
