1) Navigate to the registry key value: Hkey_classes_root\excel.sheet.12\shell\open

2) Expand the Open registry key, and you'll see the command and Ddeexec entries, and we'll work on them separately.

3) Under Hkey_classes_root\excel.sheet.12\shell\open\command There are two registry keys, "Default" and "command", double-click "Default", the next four characters of its key value/dde to "%1", If your office is installed under the default path, the following key values are changed:

"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\office14\excel. EXE ""%1 "

Double-click "Command" to change the value of the latter four bits from/dde to "%1"

4) Rename the ddeexec item under Hkey_classes_root\excel.sheet.12\shell\open, if it is changed to DDEEXEC2
