Fedora 15 allows root users to log on to desktops and desktop icons

1. fedora 15 use root to log on to Gnome

First, enter the terminal with the user account, and allow the root account to log on:
$ Su
$ VI/etc/PAM. d/TPD
Delete the line auth required pam_succeed_if.souser! = Root quiet
: WQ: Save and exit.
$ VI/etc/PAM. d/TPD-Password
Delete the line auth required pam_succeed_if.souser! = Root quiet
: WQ: Save and exit.
In this way, you can use root for GUI login.
 

2. fedora15 install desktop tools

Fedora15 has no icon on the desktop by default. You need to manually install gnome-tweak-tool.

Yum install gnome-tweak-Tool
