According to the latest data released by the market research company Net Application, the global mobile browser shares hit a new high in 7.7%, accounting for of the total browser usage, this is mainly because mobile device usage hit a new high in March.

Safari is still the largest mobile browser
Net Application monitors 40 thousand global websites on its network. Although this only represents a small part of the total network traffic, it represents a large and increasing user base in absolute number.
Among all mobile browsers, Apple Safari still ranks first with a 53.3% share, higher than November in 55.0%. Opera shares rose to 21.7%; Android browser shares fell to 15.9%.
In terms of desktop browsers, Microsoft IE's share in December dropped from 52.6% to 51.9%, but still ranked first. Firefox's share also dropped from 22.1% to 21.8%, while Google Chrome's share rose from 18.2% to 19.1%.
However, according to StatCounter, another research company, Chrome has surpassed Firefox in last November and IE shares have dropped to nearly 38%.
According to the data released by the Net Application, according to each browser version, IE 6 currently ranks fifth in the world, reaching 7.7%. According to Microsoft IE 6 countdown website, China is currently the most popular Internet Explorer 6 market, and more than 1/4 of Chinese users are still using Internet Explorer 6. In the United States, Internet Explorer 6 has a share of less than 1%.
