In the age of firefox3.0, Firefox was the fastest in all browsers, but with the constant update, it seems that the speed has slowed down. New web pages are often prompted with "no response. I suspect that the reason for loading too many plug-ins is that after searching, I found that n more plug-ins (a bunch of aliwangwang, QuickTime and so on) are indeed added. Since there is no way to disable the plug-ins, I have to manually delete them as follows:
Step 1: Enter about: config in the address bar
Step 2: Find the "plugin. expose_full_path" item in the search bar and double-click this option to set it to true (to display the complete plug-in path for convenience of step 3)
Step 3: Enter about: Plugins in the address bar. In this way, you can see all the currently running plug-ins and then delete them in the corresponding directory. (I only keep the shockware flash plug-in, and delete all others)
After completing the above three steps, you can restore the speed of Firefox itself. However, there is still a problem. I installed Firefox later, however, previous extensions such as aliwangwang and QQ controls will be automatically scanned to Firefox (the beginning of NP: Netscape ). It may be the plug-in scanning function added after firefox4.0. The automatic update function of the plug-in can be disabled, but I wonder whether the automatic scan function can be disabled.
In addition, open the registry and locate HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Macromedia \ flashplayerplugin (win7 32-bit) or
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ wow6432node \ mozillaplugins" Key (win7 64 system), delete the following plug-in by name.
