Download and install GCC on AIX

Link: ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com/aix/freeSoftware/aixtoolbox/RPMS/ppc/gcc

Or go to another IBM download site: http://www-03.ibm.com/systems/power/software/aix/linux/toolbox/download.html

Select the GCC package based on your AIX version and GCC version.

Rpm-I gcc-3.3.2-5.aix5.3.ppc.rpm

After installation, run gcc-V to view the installation result.

Rpm-I libgcc-3.3.2-5.aix5.3.ppc.rpm

Rpm-I gcc-cplusplus-3.3.2-5.aix5.3.ppc.rpm

Rpm-I libstdcplusplus-3.3.2-5.aix5.3.ppc.rpm

 

Installing the gcc-cplusplus-3.3.2-5.aix5.3.ppc.rpm may encounter the following errors:

Error: Failed dependencies:

Libstdc ++-devel = 3.3.2-5 is needed by GCC-C ++-3.3.2-5

At this point, you need to download the devel package: libstdcplusplus-devel-4.2.0-3.aix5.3.ppc.rpm

Then install gcc-cplusplus-3.3.2-5.aix5.3.ppc.rpm
